Terms of Participation

Note: The following is translated from the original Japanese document. The original document may supersede any part of the translation below, and may be invoked at any time.

The JMoF Executive Committee (hereafter “we, our, us”) has set up the following rules in order to be able to maintain smooth operation and let our participants better enjoy themselves. We ask that you please read the content carefully, and keep it in mind while you participate.

General Rules

We use the term VR JMoF to refer to all events that we organize under the “VR JMoF” name.

VR JMoF is one event run by us, and is a separate event from Japan Meeting of Furries.

Please comply with not only the Terms of Participation for VR JMoF (hereafter “these terms”) set by us, but also the Terms of Service and/or guidelines set by each VR platform, as well as any other laws and regulations.

VR platforms (such as VRChat, Resonite, etc.) are external services that anyone can access. We are unable to unlimitedly control the actions (entering instances/sessions, etc.) of each user on each VR platform. For that reason, we are unable to accept liability if a problem arises on any VR platform.

Prohibited Acts

While inside an instance/session at VR JMoF, the following acts are forbidden.

Acts that could be a nuisance to other participants when trying to interact in VR (loud noises, excessive lights, too many particle effects, etc.)

Any and all harassment against other participants (whether it be physical, verbal, sexual, etc.)

Use of an avatar that goes against public order, including overtly sexual or cruel.

Use of an avatar that you did not create yourself and that is not approved to be used on each VR platform (derivative avatars where the original work’s copyrighter did not give permission, etc.)

Any other acts that we determine to bring harm to our VR JMoF operations

Note: If an instruction comes from VR JMoF staff, please follow it immediately. Failure to follow instructions could lead to having you removed from the event.

Regarding Handling of Images/Movies

By participating in VR JMoF, participants inside VR JMoF consent to having their voices, avatars, usernames, etc. be photographed (screenshots), recorded (storing), distributed (streaming), and otherwise publicized by VR JMoF staff or by other participants.

We are not responsible for any problems or trouble that may arise through the publication of images or movies containing participants.

Photographs taken by the VR JMoF staff could be used/publicized for any purpose, including document creation or announcements.

Regarding Handling of Personal Information

By participating in VR JMoF, participants consent to the collection, storage, and usage of necessary personal information by us for the purpose of VR JMoF operations only.

Regarding Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time and without prior notice or consent.

If these terms are modified, we will notify users about the modified content through the official VR JMoF website.

We ask for everyone’s understanding and cooperation.
