VR JMoF Photo Contest
Following last year, we will be holding the second “VR JMoF Photo Contest”. We hope to convey the benefits of VR in the real world, and to serve as an opportunity for mutual exchange and the development of culture.
We look forward to seeing everyone’s wonderful works.
Note: This program is NOT “Japan Furries Photo Competition 2026”. Please be careful not to mistake one for another.
Outline of the Event for 2026
Application period
November 16, 2025(Sun.) - December 26, 2025(Fri.) 23:59(JST)
Submission Theme
We are looking for submissions of photos related to furries in the themes associated with “Ocean’s Furteen”
- Glittering night
- Teamwork
- Agent
Note: You do not need to include all themes; you can focus on just one theme and take photos.
Judging and Results Announcement
VR JMoF staff will judge the entries and select the winners. In addition, the winning entries will be exhibited at the JMoF 2026 venue, and the grand prize winner will be decided by the votes from participants.
The entries will be exhibited at VR JMoF’s special venues (in VRChat). The winning entries will also be introduced on the VR JMoF’s website, social media, etc.
Prizes/Participation Award
- Prizes: Winners will receive a 3D-modeled trophy as a commemorative gift.
- Participation award: All entrants will receive a 3D model of the VR JMoF Photo Contest pin badge.
Application Guidelines
Entry Rules
- Entries may be real-life photographs or screenshots of social VR platforms (Resonite, VRChat, etc.) related to furries within the “Glittering night”, “Teamwork”, or “Agent” theme.
- Works for which the entrant does not own the copyright (e.g. avatars purchased from BOOTH, etc.) are also allowed, but must comply with the terms of use of the avatar used.
- Each person may submit up to a total of 5 entries.
- However, entries must be taken on or after January 1, 2025.
Rules and Regulations for Entries
- Any device can be used for photographing as long as the entrant can submit the image data.
- Works that have been processed using camera applications, editing applications, software, etc. are also eligible for entry. Camera applications that use VRM are acceptable as long as there is no excessive processing.
- Adding text, compositing, or adding effects to photos is not allowed (please limit your work to cropping or simple retouching).
- The file format for image data is JPEG or PNG, and the recommended file size is 10 MB or less.

- We will not be responsible for any problems with the terms and conditions or legal issues that may arise as a result of submitting your work. Before submitting your work, please make sure that there are no problems with your entry.
- Submitted works may be shown to the public on our website and official social media account(s), and at the VR JMoF venue.
